A Pre- Survey is carried out on all carpets and upholstery to be potentially cleaned. This is for fibre identification, to check for existing damage, potential problems and in some cases, cleaning limitations. The results will be fully discussed with you, the customer, before any work is carried out.
At this stage we also provide a full and final written quotation before any of the agreed work is carried out.
Around 80-85% of soiling in carpets is dry particulate dust/grit type soiling. The first important stage of all cleaning processes is to remove as much dry soiling as possible before wetting the fibres. All carpets and upholstery are pre-vacuumed with a heavy-duty commercial grade vacuum cleaner.

Some carpets may have spots and stains that need separate attention before the carpet is pre-sprayed. After these have been treated the carpet will be pre-sprayed with a product appropriate to the soiling and fibre type.
A commercial grade CRB agitation machine is used to open the carpet pile and work the cleaning solution into the carpet fibres allowing it to penetrate to the lowest part of the carpet and upholstery fibres to aid the rinse extraction.
Agitation is an extremely important part of the cleaning process not commonly used by all cleaning companies.
The rinsing and extraction of the soil and chemicals is tailored to the individual carpet type and condition of the fibres.

The most crucial part of rinse extraction is balancing the PH levels from the cleaning process leaving the carpet PH neutral. This not only leaves the fibres hygienically cleaned and sanitised for a healthier home but also prevents the fibres from early resoiling.
Our extraction equipment will typically leave your carpets and upholstery touch dry within a few hours. To aid the drying process, as required, air movers are used to circulate the room's air flow in order to maintain a constant temperature and speed up the drying process.
The final stage, after every carpet clean, is to carefully groom and reset the carpet pile to the correct direction. This step is essential as if this is not carried out correctly the carpet will dry with uneven cleaning marks visible.
